Undergraduate Events

Each year, more than 800 undergraduate student events are held on Babson’s campus.

There is a buzz of activity that goes on day and night at Babson, often driven by innovative events spurred by the undergraduate community. Student clubs and organizations, departments, centers and institutes at Babson host events for undergraduate students that enhance the time students spend outside the classroom

Babson traditions include Founder's Day, Back to Babson, Friends and Family Weekends, Late Night Breakfast, and many student organization events. 

Attending events is a great way to connect and develop relationships with faculty, staff, alumni, and fellow students. Annual events include:

A housing authority is section 8 housing, a state or federally funded program aimed to assist low-income families pay for rent. The Afterschool Programs focus on providing mentorship through after school homework help, as well as providing activities that are both safe and fun for the children who live at the Housing Authorities. 

Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 pm. Babson students will leave campus around 3:15 pm and return around 5:45 pm.

Newly appointed Entrepreneur-in-Residence John Landry ’69, MP’08 is no stranger to technology or startups. From his time at Shawmut Bank in the 1970s running the bank’s automated system, to founding Lead Dog Ventures, which invests in early-stage tech companies, John has navigated the web of Boston’s tech scene. And now we’re bringing the Spiderman (of tech) to you!

We’re pleased to share that this semester at the Blank Center, John will be hosting a speaker series to talk all things tech: his personal journey as a tech entrepreneur and how to innovate and build new tech-centric products and services, find product-market fit, leverage new technologies, and finance your tech business.

About Beth Santos

Beth Santos is founder and CEO of Wanderful, a global community of over 40,000 women who love to travel. Beth created Wanderful while living in Sao Tome and Principe, a small two-island nation off the west coast of Africa. Today, the community connects women together through regular events in over 30 global cities, an international, identity verified woman-to-woman homesharing network, dynamic online content and forums, and inspired, focused campaigns with international travel brands.

Beth is the creator and host of the annual Women in Travel Summit for 400 female travel influencers and industry members, happening this May 2019 in Portland, Maine. She is co-founder of #AtTheTable, a national dinner series and community for female founders. She is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management, where she received her MBA in social enterprise, entrepreneurship & innovation, and management strategy, and was selected for the prestigious Zell Fellowship created by real estate mogul Sam Zell. This nonprofit organization operates a community supper each Thursday evening. The mission is to provide a nutritious meal in a hospitable environment to anyone who needs a meal. Babson students will serve about 100 meals to those in need and help clean up afterwards.

As part of Babson’s mission to educate entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere, the BELA program strives to bring entrepreneurship where it's needed most - both globally and locally. Teaching the basics of ET&A™, Babson students educate members of the Boys and Girls club by breaking down concepts to a more digestible level for younger students.

This program leaves at 5pm, and returns at 8:30pm.

This nonprofit organization provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. Babson students will sort and put together care packages of clothes, toys, and books for children in the greater Boston area.
