Babson’s Health Promotion program provides information, education, and resources on a range of health topics including, but not limited to, sexual health, stress management, sleep hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing. Our staff work with individual students and clubs/organizations to customize programs to meet the unique needs of each group. Below are samples of some of our Babson’s health promotion efforts.
Emotional Wellness is having the capability to recognize and come to terms with a wide range of feelings. It is being able to freely show and cope with one's own feelings to grow positive self-esteem in order to arrive at personal decisions based upon the incorporation of one's attitudes and behaviors.
Spiritual Wellness is the ability to seek meaning and purpose in human existence as well as being open to diverse multicultural views and experiences. Practicing spiritual wellness allows a person to seek out the perfect balance between their own spirit and outside forces.
Sexual health refers to the many issues that impact sexual function and reproduction. These include a variety of physical, mental and emotional factors. Disorders that affect any of these issues can impact a person’s relationships and self-image.
