Babson Counseling Program at Human Relations Services, Inc. (HRS)

Babson provides a variety of counseling for students who need consultation, referral, and short term treatment. The counseling program is available through the Human Relations Service (HRS), 11 Chapel Place, Wellesley. For information about the program, and appointments, call 781-235-4950. The staff at HRS consists of clinical psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists and clinical nurse practitioners. Counseling sessions are confidential. Records of counseling do not become part of a student’s transcript or college record, and are not shared with Babson personnel without permission. Full-time students can see a counselor for up to ten visits without charge. Continued visits may be covered by medical insurance, or students can pay for these visits on their own and may apply for a reduced fee according to need. Common reasons students seek appointments:

  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Family Problems
  • Relationship Problems
  • Peer Relations
  • Eating Disorders
  • Alcohol Related Problems
  • Chronic Health Problems
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Sexual Assault or Intimate Partner Violence 

In the event of an emergency or an urgent situation that occurs between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.:

  • For students who are not already in counseling at HRS: call Babson Public Safety at 781-239-5555. Calls made directly to HRS will be referred back through Babson's emergency service.
  • For students who are already in counselling at HRS: call HRS at 781-235-4950.
