A Message from the Associate Dean of Students for Wellness

Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of Babson students is a critical priority for the College, and most especially for the members of the Health and Wellness Department. We believe that wellness is central to students’ academic, personal, and professional success. Simply stated, in order for students to do well, they must be well. Our programs and services are intentionally designed to focus on students’ holistic health, addressing multiple dimensions of wellness, including physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social wellbeing. As a department within student affairs, we seek to create a comprehensive and integrated health and wellness program that fosters students’ personal and professional development as business leaders and entrepreneurs. 

The Health and Wellness Department at Babson College is comprised of Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and Wellness & Prevention Services, which includes Health Promotion, Alcohol & Other Drug Services (AODS), Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services (SAPRS), and our Peers On Wellness (POW) peer health education program. These offices are staffed by licensed clinicians, administrative staff, and student affairs professionals who care deeply about ensuring the health and safety of Babson students. 

Babson is a special place. There is a tremendous ethic of care at Babson – demonstrated daily by our faculty, staff, and students. We are fortunate to have many great resources for students to help improve, enhance, or sustain personal health and wellbeing, and we continue to develop new initiatives to meet the diverse needs of our campus community. My staff and I pride ourselves on being accessible to students and their families, and we look forward to partnering with you in our pursuit to promote health and safety among all members of the Babson Community.
