What to Bring

What furniture does every room have?

XL Twin Bed  (39" Wide X 80" Long)
Desk & Chair 
Trash bin 
Recycle bin 

Condition of Room

We want students to make their room feel like home. So be CREATIVE! However, we also have some rules and regulations to keep in mind.  

All students must return the room to its original condition. This includes having all furniture, trash cans and recycle bins that were originally present during check in. If any of these items are missing upon check out, students will be charged for their replacement. 

What should I bring?

  • Linens (Sheets, Pillow/Pillow Case, Comforter, Towels, etc.)  See information on the Residence Hall Linens Program:
  • Posters
  • Stereo
  • Power strips
  • Compact refrigerators (up to 5.0 cubic feet) are permitted.
  • Popcorn popper 
  • Small microwave (0.8 cubic feet, 700 watts or less) are permitted
  • Plants
  • Pictures of friends and family
  • Flags
  • Mirrors
  • Peel-off wallpaper borders
  • Throw-pillows
  • Desk lamp
  • Additional shelving
  • Closet organizer
  • Paper cups, plates, utensils
  • Fans
  • Small coffee maker
  • Toilitries and Shower Caddy
  • Bathroom
  • Laundry Bag/Basket
  • Hangers
  • Umbrella
  • School and Desk Supplies

What should I leave at home?

The following items are prohibited in the residence halls:

  • A/C unit
  • Space heaters
  • Insence and Candles
  • Halogen lamps
  • Electric blanket
  • Hot plates
  • Toaster/Toaster Oven (Permitted in Suite Kitchens Only)
  • Grill  (Permitted in Suite Kitchens Only)
  • Rice cooker (Permitted in Suite Kitchens Only)
