Girls Ice Hockey
The Camps at Babson College is excited to introduce the 2013 Girls Ice Hockey camp.
This one-week session is designed for the young female players, ages 9–14. The camp will have both on-ice and off-ice activities during the day with three hours of ice time daily. The Babson Skating Center is reserved for Girls Ice Hockey camp exclusively during the camp week.
Our director, Kush Sidhu, has been a prominent figure in Women’s Ice Hockey for over 20 years. He is the head coach of the Washington D.C. Pride Girls College Prep Ice Hockey Team, and previously was an assistant coach at Northeastern University and the U.S. Women’s National Program. With Coach Sidhu’s direct supervision and leadership, an age-appropriate curriculum and coaching staff will be assembled. We are excited to add him to our staff for the 2013 summer.
Equipment
Full equipment is needed. Campers also should bring shorts, T-shirts, and appropriate footwear for off-ice activities on grass and in the Webster Athletic Center. A second stick for use outdoors is recommended.
Facilities
The Girls Ice Hockey Camp is held in the Babson Skating Center, where the Varsity Men’s and Club Women’s Hockey teams compete. Campers use the locker rooms to change into and out of their hockey equipment.
