May Graduates
May graduates must complete all degree requirements by 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before Commencement.
All undergraduate students must meet with their class dean to complete an Application for Degree. May graduates must also complete the Commencement Clearance Process (CCP). The CCP is an application site that allows degree candidates to view and complete the requirements necessary to pick up their cap and gown. Requirements include fulfilling financial obligations, completing college surveys, and returning laptops. This site will be made available to degree candidates approximately two weeks before commencement. More information about the CCP will be sent via email from the Events Management Office in the weeks leading up to commencement.
May graduates must also make sure their mailing address is up to date. To update or verify a mailing address, log into Portal and click My Info/View My Profile from the top toolbar. Select Mailing Address under the Edit My Info section on the left side of the page. Edit the fields as needed and then click Save Mailing Address.
Any students who have outstanding obligations with the college, such as financial obligations, will not receive their diploma until these obligations are cleared.

Probable August graduates may participate in the preceding May Commencement ceremony as walkers. Students must register and plan to complete their remaining degree requirements during the summer sessions. Only coursework that can be completed and graded prior to August 31 can be considered. At the Commencement ceremony, walkers wear the full academic regalia, are seated together with the previous year’s August and December graduates and the current year’s May graduates, have their names announced, and receive an empty diploma case on stage. Probable August graduates who choose to participate in the May Commencement ceremony must complete and return a Commencement Walker Form by the deadline listed on the form. Walkers also must complete the Commencement Clearance Process (CCP) and the Application for Degree. The CCP is an application site that allows walkers to view and complete the requirements necessary to pick up their cap and gown. This site will open approximately two weeks before Commencement.
