Fields
The Management Consulting Field Experience (MCFE) is an excellent opportunity for students to apply principles learned in the classroom to real-world consulting projects. The students solve actual business situations and develop key skills in negotiation, group dynamics, organization, and planning. Students develop marketable skills by learning the consulting process and working in growing fields, such as e-commerce.
Teams of three to five undergraduates work as a consulting group for a sponsor company. The students meet with the client, analyze problems, and explore possible solutions. Students apply for acceptance into the four-credit course. The project concludes with a formal report and a presentation to the Sponsor Company comprising the group’s recommendations.
EPS MCFE
Many of the projects involve working with small businesses, and e-commerce companies to analyze problems and explore possible solutions.
