What is your pre-Babson experience?

I attended Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Hyderabad, India, and a Master of Management degree from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). I previously worked as a senior equity research analyst at CRISIL Ltd. in Chennai, India.

Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?

Babson has a strong Finance Division, with offerings like faculty who have industry experience, resources like the Cutler Center, special offerings like the Babson College Fund, and courses like Financial Trading Strategies.

What are your career goals?

I come from India, where low levels of financial literacy mean that investors, despite having the ability to channel their savings into financial assets (like stocks and mutual funds), prefer traditional forms of investment (gold and real estate). My long-term goal is to contribute toward financial awareness in India and bring a change in the investment attitudes of my fellow countrymen. In the short to medium term, I would like to see myself in equity research on the sell side, or in asset management on the buy side. I also aspire to get into fund management. I am looking forward to taking ownership and managing a mid-sized fund, and contributing to financial literacy and financial inclusion in my home country.

What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?

With the Babson College Fund, I like interacting with executives in residence on a weekly basis and gaining great insights from them. I also like my equities class; in every session, we have a new industry guest speaker, who serves as an expert in the topic of discussion for that class. I gain lots of knowledge from those speakers.
