What is your pre-Babson experience?

I previously worked as a manager at an e-commerce startup called CouponDunia Media Pvt. Ltd. I earned my undergraduate degree from Manipal Institute of Technology.

Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?

I chose Babson for the global perspective, the diverse student cohort, and the smaller batch size, which gives more focus to each student. Babson’s entrepreneurial spirit pushes each individual to keep working and never give up, which resonates with my attitude toward life.

What are your career ambitions, and how is Babson helping you achieve them?

My current MBA experience supplements my management degree at the Indian School of Business by exposing me to international business strategies and global markets. I started my career as a business technology analyst at Deloitte Consulting and then went on to work for e-commerce startups in a managerial role. These experiences have equipped me with strong decision-making skills as well as analytical and logical approaches to problem solving. At Babson, I am focusing on business analytics. The BA division faculty and course structure are helping me immensely in gaining the skill set required to move into a product manager role after I graduate.

What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?

My favorite about the Babson experience is the fact that I am a part of a very diverse, driven, and ambitious cohort. Learning from the perspectives of fellow classmates has helped me broaden my outlook toward problem solving. I also love how supportive and approachable the faculty is; the fact that I can just walk up to a faculty member to discuss just about anything makes a world of difference.

How is Babson helping you prepare for life after graduation?

I am working on an analytics consulting project through the MCFE program. This gave me the opportunity to gain work experience in the U.S. before I step into a full-time job (an internship was not part of the One-Year MBA curriculum). Working on this project is giving me hands-on experience—working with tools, solving real problems that the company is dealing with today.
