40 AFRICAN ENTREPRENEURS EXPLORE THE ENTREPRENEURIAL PROCESS AT BABSON COLLEGE - APRIL 5TH
On Friday April 5th, when 40 aspiring African entrepreneurs visit Babson College, they will engage in entrepreneurship as Babson teaches it—through a method that challenges entrepreneurs to pursue both economic and social value in all kinds of organizations from startups and growing companies to nonprofits, academia, government, and in society at large.
The Babson visit is part of The Harambe Bretton Woods Symposium (HBWS), an intimate gathering among young African entrepreneurial leaders to help grow and move good ideas on the development of Africa into high impact and collective action. HBWS is the annual gathering of the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance (HEA), a platform for young African social, business, and political entrepreneurs attending leading universities across the globe.
This year, the symposium will congregate at Babson, Harvard University, and the historic Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire.
“Their time here will be rigorous and busy with interactive workshops and lots of opportunities to articulate and refine their ideas,” says Janet Strimaitis, Babson’s Executive Director, The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, “They will leave with a better understanding of how entrepreneurship is uniquely capable of delivering real solutions to some of their world’s most demanding social, economic, and environmental issues.”
