Clancy paints places that she has experienced in person and works from multiple photographs to create a composite image whose geometric edges draw attention to the experience of being in these environments.

The paintings on exhibit at Babson are an expansion of Clancy’s series that explores people’s interaction with art and architecture in museums. With a keen sense of color and form, she has re-framed spaces within the Guggenheim, MOMA, Tate, and Mass MOCA. “Points of View” is a new series of shaped paintings based on Anish Kapoor’s sculpture Cloud Gate and the Renzo Piano addition to the Art Institute of Chicago.

Clancy is assistant professor at Boston University's School of Visual Arts. She received a BA in English Literature from Vassar College and an MFA in Painting from Boston University.

Clancy’s work has been in solo exhibitions at Boston University, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, and Laconia Gallery in Boston's South End. She has participated in group exhibitions nationally, including Delta Axis at Marshall Arts, Memphis, and Bowery Gallery, New York.
