Since its inception, Babson College has been committed to providing an entrepreneurial mindset that equips students to make a difference on campus and around the world. With notable alumni such as Daniel Gerber, Founder of Gerber Baby Foods, and Michael Bastian, American Fashion Designer, Babson College has not only been practicing entrepreneurship but has set out redefine it as well.

In 2012, Babson College set out to change the way entrepreneurship is defined by building a new definition in order to appeal to Entrepreneurs of All Kinds™. Last year, in an effort to prove that entrepreneurs do much more than start for-profit business, the College introduced a campaign to crowd-source definitions of entrepreneurship at define.babson.edu. The initiative has received unique definitions from over 100,000 people in 147 countries, proving that entrepreneurship is needed and valued everywhere.

“Today, more than ever before, the social, economic and environmental issues confronting our world require solutions—the type that entrepreneurship, broadly defined, is uniquely capable of delivering.”, said Sarah Sykora, Chief Marketing Officer at Babson College.

In attracting one of the most intentionally diverse student bodies in the world, Babson College has become the leader in Global Entrepreneurial Education, and is increasingly becoming students’ top choice to shape a successful future and to create economic and social value…everywhere.
