In the first 2014 offering of The Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp: A Deep Dive for New Ventures, entrepreneurs from 12 countries have gathered at Babson College to develop the strategies, tools, and confidence necessary to launch and grow their businesses.

This intensive, week-long Babson College open enrollment program prepares high-potential entrepreneurs to advance their new ventures. Babson’s entrepreneurship faculty collaborated with seasoned entrepreneurs and investors to design a program that would be a life-altering experience, one that would inspire entrepreneurs to build ventures that bring both economic and social value to the world.

Faculty Director Angelo Santinelli says the hands-on program covers critical aspects of entrepreneurship and is designed to help participants hit the ground running. “I regularly hear from past participants of the program who have gone on and secured financing, launched new products, hired employees, and grown revenues since participating in the Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp,” said Santinelli. “Through this program, we are building a global network of efficacious entrepreneurs.”

The program faculty includes leading academics, accomplished entrepreneurs, and seasoned practitioners who have a range of skills, experience, and involvement in entrepreneurial ventures. Program faculty members include: Andrew CorbettTim MarkenHeidi NeckBill McLaughlinLakshmi Blachandra and Andrew Zacharakis. The Boot Camp will also be taught by several entrepreneurs with both startup and venture capital experience.

Boot Camp Benefits for Entrepreneurs:

  • Acquire tools for assessing product and market fit, including understanding target markets and market segmentation, and performing effective industry and competitive analyses.
  • Develop an understanding of how to grow and nurture the business through effective brand building, cash flow management and resource allocation, and embracing change and uncertainty for competitive advantage.
  • Gain a better understanding of themselves as entrepreneurs including their motivations, roles, and key responsibilities.
  • Explore the notion of building a winning team and other common challenges facing founders and CEOs.
  • Learn key assessment and feasibility techniques including ideation, product definition, rapid iteration testing, and designing the minimum viable product.

The week features panels of entrepreneurs and investors. In addition, participants work in teams and are given several opportunities to present their ideas and group work to faculty and participants who evaluate and critique the plans, and offer advice as to where risk lies and what are the barriers to success.

The next offering of this program will take place from June 23 – 27, 2014 and registration is currently open. For more information about Babson’s Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp program, contact us at or 781-239-4354.
