Babson College's Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) has selected a total of 43 women entrepreneurs to participate in the 2016-17 Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab business accelerator, a one-of-a-kind program—now in Boston and Miami, specifically designed to support women entrepreneurs in their startup and early-stage ventures.

The WIN Lab provides select Babson alumni and student women entrepreneurs, fellows from the City of Boston's Office of Business Development and Boston's Office of Women's Advancement “Women on Main” initiative, and now entrepreneurs in Miami, with the road map, expertise, inspiration, and community they need to successfully reach their entrepreneurial goals.

WIN Lab Miami hosted a kickoff event at VentureCafe on September 8 to present the startups selected to participate in Miami’s very first accelerator for women. The new program will host 24 women entrepreneurs who have collectively started 21 businesses. One-hundred eighty impressive entrepreneur teams applied for the new program since its launch in early 2016.

WIN Lab Miami has been made possible by a generous grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
