About Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. It is part of Prepared 4 Life, a nonprofit that provides fun, proactive, hands-on programs infused with life skills, character education and entrepreneurship. Lemonade Day began in Houston, Texas in 2007, and its reach has spread from the first two children in Houston, to the 120,000 youth across 31 cities in the U.S. and Canada that are involved today. The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society: the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow.
