The 2017 Financial Times Global Full-Time MBA Ranking has named Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business the No. 3 graduate program for Entrepreneurship. Stanford and MIT are ranked above Babson.

In addition, Financial Times has ranked Babson No. 8 for Career Progress worldwide, calculated according to changes in the level of seniority and the size of company alumni are working in now.

Average alumnus salary three years after graduation is $131,130.

In the overall full-time global MBA program evaluation, Babson’s ranking is No. 87.

Financial Times is one of the world’s leading business news organizations. It is recognized internationally for its authority, integrity, and accuracy, and provides essential news, comment, data and analysis for the global business community.

This ranking features the world’s best 100 full-time MBA programs. A total of 156 schools took part in the 2017 edition of this ranking. All participating schools meet Financial Times’ entry criteria, including being accredited by Equis or the AACSB.

Financial Times surveys alumni three years after graduation, so the programs must be four years old. For schools to enter the ranking calculations, Financial Times requires that a minimum of 20 percent of alumni reply to the survey, with at least 20 fully completed responses.

This ranking uses data collected from the schools and the 9,000 alumni who completed a full-time MBA at them in 2013—a response rate of 41 percent.

The ranking has 20 criteria. Alumni responses inform eight criteria that together contribute 59 percent of its weight. Eleven criteria are calculated from school data, accounting for 31 percent of the final ranking. KPMG audits a number of schools every year. The remaining criterion, the research rank, counts for 10 percent.
