3 MBA BUSINESSES WIN ROCKET PITCH COMPETITION AT BABSON SAN FRANCISCO
The three winners of Babson San Francisco’s first annual “Rocket Pitch” held October 1 are, in order:
- Coaster, Inderpal Singh and Kevin Callaghan, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley; Coaster is a mobile service that allows patrons to order/buy drinks without fighting the crowds
- Androgyny, Melissa Millan, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley; Androgyny is a revolutionary online apparel retailer, focused on serving an underserved demographic of queer women who seek an androgynous look
- Matchpoint GPS, Amar Amin & Carey Fan, Babson College; Matchpoint is an anti-theft and vehicle recovery service for the Indian passenger vehicle market
15 MBA student businesses from the top business schools in Bay Area competed for more than $18,000 in cash and in-kind sponsorship representing Babson’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business; University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business; University of San Francisco; Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA; Stanford Graduate School of Business; and Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business.
Raghu Tadepalli, Dean, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson, and Peter Wilson, Executive Director, Babson College Graduate Blended learning Programs co-hosted the annual event.
