Synapse co-founders collaborate with Babson to bring search engine marketing workshop to undergrads
Synapse SEM™ and Babson will be offering a new Search Engine Marketing workshop for undergraduate students. The workshop will span five three-hour classes, with the intent of preparing undergraduates to become Google AdWords certified, and to help students learn how search engine marketing can be leveraged to help businesses grow.
The workshop has already seen tremendous interest from the undergrads; the workshop will accept up to 23 students and nearly 70 students have already applied.
“We’re excited to bring this subject matter to Babson for the first time, and we look forward to working directly with some of the best business students in the country,” says Synapse co-founder, Mark Casali.
“Mark and I are both Babson alumni, so we’re happy Babson was so open to the idea of adding this course and it’ll be a great opportunity to give back to the students. I can’t wait to work with them,” says Synapse co-founder, Paul Benson.
The new search engine marketing workshop will walk students through the AdWords certification study materials, as well as introduce real business scenarios that the Synapse co-founders have encountered over the past nine years.
“The goal is to provide students a more hands-on experience in fast growing channels and technologies. Search engine marketing is our first workshop course, and Paul and Mark were the ideal fits given their deep experience working with Boston-based clients and the entrepreneurial culture of their agency,” says Babson Division Chair of Technology, Operations, and Information Management, Bala Iyer.
“We hope to introduce several more workshop-based courses this year to provide our students with a competitive advantage when they enter the job market. We’re really excited, and we’ve seen tremendous engagement and interest from the students, which is a strong sign that they’re hungry for this type of course,” says Iyer.
