Schedule and Deadlines
Babson undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni will compete for $75,000 in cash prizes plus “services in kind” donations from corporate sponsors in the 2019 B.E.T.A. (Babson Entrepreneurial Thought & Action®) Challenge.
Applicants will compete for prizes by demonstrating success in achieving major milestones through taking action.

Faculty sponsor deadline (undergraduate and graduate applicants only) – faculty sponsor information must be successfully entered through the submission site. This is optional for alumni applicants. For more information, please view the “Eligibility & Guidelines.”

Business deliverables (executive summary and slide deck) may be uploaded through submission site starting on this date.
February 8, 2019 at Noon EST
Business Registration & Submission deadline – two documents (executive summary and slide deck) must be successfully uploaded through the submission site. A confirmation from the submission site must be received in order for the submission to be considered for the B.E.T.A. Challenge. February 14–28, 2019
Alumni evaluators review and score submitted materials online. Several groups of Babson College alumni evaluators will review each submission, and assign a numeric score to each. The numeric scores from all evaluators will then be tabulated and the top applicants at the undergraduate, graduate and alumni levels will be selected based on the highest average score.
March 4–8, 2019
Selected faculty will review the top applicants at the undergraduate, graduate and alumni levels and will narrow down to the top six semifinalists.

Semifinalists deadline – all semifinalists' materials due: signed audio visual release form, update document and completed questionnaire provided by The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship. All materials must be submitted to Antonette Ho at email@example.com by Noon EST (no exceptions made).
April 3, 2019
Venture Expo (B.E.T.A. Challenge Semifinals) beginning at 4:30 p.m. EST – Semifinalists will be given an opportunity to interact with community members. Each semifinalist will get a “booth” to use at their own discretion. Community members will be able to vote which company they would like to see participate in the finalist round. Semifinalists will deliver a 60-second elevator pitch to a panel of judges. Judges will determine the three finalists at the undergraduate, graduate and alumni levels who will present at the finals on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
