Where technology, entrepreneurship, design, and social impact meet
Launched in 2017, IoT for Good Lab is an action tank providing opportunities, resources, seed funding, and support for students to initiate and launch social ventures to address the UN Global Goals by utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT). The Lab, sponsored by a three-year grant by The Verizon Foundation, facilitates interdisciplinary teams of entrepreneurial, engineering, design, art, and liberal arts students.
What is the IoT (Internet of Things)?
The Internet of Things (IoT) is being hailed as the next technological revolution and will generate new entrepreneurial opportunities, business models, and solutions to some of the world's toughest challenges. The IoT is a giant network of connected "things" and people, connecting people to people, people to things, and things to things. The IoT will facilitate better decision making based on the enormous amounts of information and data made available to all of us.
