Michael Musi is an accomplished business attorney and senior manager with extensive domestic and international experience with small growth-oriented and Fortune 100 organizations. He has negotiated business transactions on five continents and opened field offices in Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Sydney, and Singapore.
As attorney and senior manager Michael led or supported most functional groups within corporations including field sales, professional services, marketing, HR, IT, purchasing, field operations, R&D, real estate, M&A, loss prevention, accounting, and legal. His contributions encompassed many aspects of corporate law including complex contract drafting, and deal structuring, intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, insurance, real estate and litigation management, and corporate communications.
Michael's span of experience as an attorney and senior manager includes positions with large multinational corporations such as EMC, Digital Equipment, Lucent Technologies, and Iron Mountain, and boutique, privately held software and services companies including SimpliVity Corporation, Kenan Systems, Politzer & Haney, and Ab Initio Software LLC. Prior to his legal career, he successfully performed a number of business and sales roles, including V.P. of Operations and Sales Account Executive for a Fortune 100 corporation to name two. Michael's distinctive blend of legal, business, and sales skills provide him with a unique lens to view and support fast growth high tech organizations.
Michael is an avid student and teacher. He earned J.D., MBA, and BSBA degrees and completed coursework at the Harvard Negotiation Project. He also became an accredited Siebel field instructor, developed training programs in business and law, and instructed thousands of field sales and support professionals and senior corporate executives. In addition, he has taught undergraduate and graduate degree-required courses in business and business law at Northeastern and Boston University.
