It’s imperative that we prepare the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to understand—and take advantage of—emerging technologies and trends ranging from generative AI to virtual and augmented reality. In support of this strategic effort, Babson announced the launch of the C. Dean Metropoulos Institute for Entrepreneurship and Technology to support and expand the infusion of technological innovation in the entrepreneurial process.

With the support of a transformational gift from C. Dean Metropoulos ’67, MBA’68, Babson launched the C. Dean Metropoulos Institute for Entrepreneurship and Technology. This groundbreaking institute marks a significant step forward in Babson’s strategic initiatives to advance and elevate the pivotal role of technology in entrepreneurial education. Once opened in the fall, the institute will bolster Babson’s proven entrepreneurial education into the leadership ranks of technology and artificial intelligence.

Signed a MOU with Olin College to support new complementary offerings

Produced 18 asynchronous learning modules to support custom Executive Education programs and licensed in India where the content is currently being delivered to 850+ students.

What AI Means for Student Entrepreneurs

The arrival of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence tools has been met with a range of emotions. Entrepreneurs aren’t waiting for the questions surrounding AI to sort themselves out. Babson has provided an array of tools and resources ranging from AI cloud credits to faculty and peer-led workshops, prompting student entrepreneurs to share how this powerful technology already is changing their work and their ventures.

The Generator: Babson’s Interdisciplinary AI Lab

The Generator’s mission is to empower innovators from all fields to bring visionary ideas to life by harnessing the capabilities of artificial intelligence. The innovative lab is comprised of several interdisciplinary Research Groups—distinct, theme-based innovation hubs where interdisciplinary partners, diverse students, and multidisciplinary faculty collaborate to explore members’ particular interests.
