Alpha Epsilon Pi (ΑΕΠ)

Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish Fraternity of North America, was founded to provide opportunities for a Jewish man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career. Alpha Epsilon Pi develops leadership for the North American Jewish community at a critical time in a young man's life

Chi Omega (ΧΩ)

Chi Omega is the largest women’s fraternal organization in the world. With 240,000 initiates and more than 170 collegiate chapters, all ChiOs are united as they stand by six purposes: friendship, high standards of personnel, sincere learning and creditable scholarship, participation in campus activities, career development, and community service.

Delta Tau Delta (ΔΤΔ)

Delta Tau Delta is a value-driven organization, and we strive to make all of our decisions based on our mission and values. Our members live by the principles of integrity, accountability, truth and courage. Building a fraternity around these values sets forth the expectations for how the fraternity will run and the behavior in the fraternity. Bringing these values into our Brotherhood allow for personal and organizational accountability and overall excellence.

Kappa Kappa Gamma (ΚΚΓ)

One of the oldest national sororities, Kappa’s golden key, fleur-de-lis, and coat of arms represent friendship rooted in a tradition of high standards. Kappa promotes, through its standards, a broad college experience including scholarship and intellectual development, cultural growth, leadership, and philanthropy.

Sigma Kappa (ΣΚ)

Sigma Kappa is the oldest sorority on campus, and all Sigmas are committed to the principles of Sigma Kappa, which are to unite its members in a bond of sincere friendship for the development of character and the promotion of social, literary, and intellectual culture, while at the same time striving for high standards of achievement—scholastically, socially, and spiritually.​​​​​​​​

Sigma Phi Epsilon (ΣΦΕ)

Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded at Richmond College, now the University of Richmond, on November 1, 1901, on the Cardinal Principles: Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. Today, the Fraternity has grown to more than 280,000 lifetime members, including over 14,000 undergraduates on 241 campuses in the United States. SigEp is currently the largest fraternity in terms of undergraduate enrollment.

It is the mission of the Interfraternity Council (IFC) to: ensure the proper self-governance of the individual fraternity organizations; establish the rules and regulations concerning the fraternity community; ensure just and fair enforcement of infractions to all rules of Babson College and the IFC; enrich the scholastic, social, philanthropic, and cultural environment for the fraternity members; and uphold all traditions of Babson College and its fraternity community.

The Babson College Panhellenic Council (Panhel) supports its fraternity women by promoting personal and academic achievement, internal and external collaboration, community awareness, friendship, and well being by providing leadership opportunities, cocurricular activities, and a support mechanism for its members and the women of Babson College.

There are two ways to join an NPC Sorority here at Babson. We are on a deferred recruitment schedule which means that first year students cannot join until the Spring Semester of their First Year. Upperclassmen & Transfer students may join either in the Fall or Spring Semester. The Panhellenic Council holds multiple events throughout the year for Potential New Members (PNMs) to learn more about sorority life. Recruitment Registration goes live on October 1.

Recruitment consists of three rounds in which potential new members (PNMs) attend gatherings hosted by each chapter. The chapter women get to know one another and share personal stories about what sisterhood means to them and showcase the values promoted by their organization. As recruitment progresses, PNMs and sororities list their choices in order of preference and are matched with a chapter based on mutual selection. PNMs are led through recruitment by a team of Recruitment Counselors who will be with you every step of the way to answer any questions you might have about recruitment or sorority life at Babson.

To join an IFC fraternity at Babson, you must participate in recruitment events held by the fraternities. Prior to recruitment officially beginning, IFC & each chapter will hold various events for PNMs to learn more about the values of the organization. From there, it is up to each chapter to plan and implement recruitment events as they see fit within Babson and national guidelines.

The events are designed to facilitate opportunities for the members of the fraternities to get to know potential new members and so that potential new members can get to know them. This allows both parties to make an informed decision about membership. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Interfraternity Council leadership or the fraternity/sorority life advisor.

Babson is proud to be a part of the larger City-Wide Community of NPHC Organizations. To join an NPHC fraternity or sorority at Babson, you must participate in intake and informational sessions hosted by the respective fraternity or sorority. In recent years, Babson students have become members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., & Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

What is a legacy?

A legacy is a son/daughter, brother/sister, or grandson/granddaughter of a fraternity/sorority alumnus. It is not a requirement to be a legacy to join a fraternity/sorority at Babson. Most of our members, in fact, are not legacies of any group, and some may have joined a different organization than their family members did.

As a legacy, am I guaranteed a spot within the chapter?

If you are a legacy, we would strongly encourage you to include that information when you register.

I play a sport at Babson. What happens if I can’t make it to an entire event?

We understand that you are required to be at your practices and games for your sport. If you find that you might have a conflict, please let an event organizer know.

How much are dues?

Dues vary for each chapter on the Babson campus. Your first semester is always the most expensive semester for one-time new member fees or purchases, such as your chapter badge. Chapter dues often decrease after the first semester and vary by chapter. Be sure to ask chapter members during recruitment about specific chapter costs. Dues information will be shared during formal recruitment. For Interfraternity Council Fraternities, dues generally range from $350–$500. For Panhellenic Sororities, new member dues generally range from $400–$650 but initiated member dues are less, ranging from $250–$350.

Will I be hazed as a new member?

Hazing is absolutely not allowed by Babson College or by any international/national organization. If you feel that you or someone you know is being hazed in any way, please report the behavior to a Babson College official or on our anti-hazing website.
