Babson College, the #1 ranked college for entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report and the 2nd best college in the United States by The Wall Street Journal, and Illuminate, an award-winning developer of innovative training programs for the global life sciences industry, have collaborated to offer the Babson-Illuminate Leadership Bootcamp to life science organizations.
This fully virtual, company-cohorted program combines the entrepreneurial knowledge of Babson with the industry expertise of Illuminate to create a curriculum tailored to the industry’s inherent challenges. As the life science sector continues to change rapidly, honing effective leaders who can anticipate trends, motivate and create high-performing teams, and deliver value becomes increasingly urgent. The Babson-Illuminate Leadership Bootcamp provides participants with the tools, frameworks, and industry insights needed to advance into new and increasing levels of leadership responsibility.
Sessions are led by senior Babson faculty who have deep expertise working with leaders in the life science industry and utilizing Entrepreneurial Thought & Action®—Babson’s solutions-focused teaching methodology. The Babson-Illuminate Bootcamp combines interactive case studies, class discussion, and can incorporate work-related projects for applied and relevant learning.
- Clients can tailor a program to meet their specific time frame, budget, and learning objectives.
- Participants will gain an energized network within their organization, develop a common vocabulary and growth mindset, and acquire practical leadership tools.
- Babson faculty will incorporate company-specific learning scenarios into content for applied and relevant learning.
The program is delivered in a live, fully online format and, to ensure each participant has meaningful interactions with their colleagues is designed to accommodate a company cohort of up to 25 individuals.
The Babson-Illuminate Leadership Bootcamp is a flexible program that can be customized to meet your unique needs and time frame. If a shorter program is preferred, organizations can select a minimum of 3 sessions and/or add sessions incrementally. If you desire a longer program, you can select a full
7-session bootcamp. Each session is 90 minutes and offered weekly.
Below is an example of a 7-session program focused on honing the necessary leadership skills to create high-performing teams, coach underperformers into high achievers, analyze opportunities to create sales strategy and be able to translate strategy back to the team:

This program is very flexible and highly customizable, so clients can pick the content and number of sessions to best meet their learning objectives, and time frame.
Organizations select their desired number of sessions and content from the topics below. Based on faculty availability, a Babson faculty director may be able to customize a topic to meet your learning objectives. Organizations can mix and match topics to combine business acumen with leadership or drill down into leadership core competencies by selecting several different sessions from the leadership topic. This program is designed for a company cohort of up to 25 life science individuals nominated by their company to develop leadership skills. Senior-level managers are encouraged to select participants, lend support, and provide feedback to faculty to ensure content is aligned with the company’s learning objectives.
