At the Latin American Summit in November 2012, STEP members and families met in Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC), Brazil to discuss subjects that dealt with Transition Challenges, Entrepreneurial Dreams and Family Action Planning. This summit was conjoined with FDC’s 3rd Annual Meeting of PDA (Shareholder Development Program) Families, allowing families to attend lectures from their series, as well as, briefly introduce their family and company to everyone in attendance. PDA is a partnership that makes it possible for families that own family businesses to grow more mature and provide better leadership for their businesses. By allowing these two meetings to happen at the same time allowed participants to exchange experiences and get first hand impressions and perspectives, which opened new and exciting challenges.
