The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership enables women to reach their full potential through innovative education programs and events.

CWEL Scholars ProgramThe CWEL Scholars (CWELS) Program
Formerly the Women’s Leadership Program, CWEL Scholars provides undergraduate women with exclusive events, cutting edge experts and hands-on coaching. Students attend a minimum number of events over their four-year education to earn the “CWEL Scholar” designation. Learn more.

The Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab
The WIN Lab is a unique, year-long program designed to empower 20 women to build their entrepreneurial ventures. WIN Lab is being directed by serial entrepreneur, and Blank Center entrepreneur in residence, Sharon Kan. Learn more.


CWEL Mentees

Mentor Mashups
CWEL regularly host events where successful business women leaders and mentors share their stories and lead small group discussions on topics of interest to students. These events include food, drink, sharing business cards and making valuable connections. Learn more.

BAWMBA helps women MBA students build networks, find and be a mentor, develop leadership skills and transition to their next professional opportunities.


Gender Enlightenment
CWEL supports and advances gender equality as a growth strategy for individuals and for organizations of all sizes, everywhere in the world. We do this through a variety of campus events and by supporting a growing community of faculty who do innovative research on women and gender, leadership and entrepreneurship.     This year’s Disruption Dinner will highlight women disrupting politics and will be moderated by Babson President Dr. Kerry Healey, the 70th lieutenant governor of Massachusetts. Panelists will share their stories about entrepreneurial leadership in politics; how they are speaking up and acting boldly to level the playing field for all; and how we can all participate in building a better Boston, Massachusetts, and America for women.

    Panelists include:

    Mayor Lisa A. Wong is currently serving her fourth term as Mayor of the city of Fitchburg, MA. She was first elected to that office in November of 2007 at the age of 28, and is the first minority mayor in Fitchburg and the first female Asian American mayor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

    Megan Costello is the Executive Director of Boston's Office of Women's Advancement. She has worked for a variety of elected officials and campaigns, including Setti Warren, Mayor of Newton, President Barack Obama, Senator Ed Markey, and was Campaign Manager for Mayor Marty Walsh.

    Additionally, Mass Innovation Nights: Women Founders will feature dozens of Boston-area resources and services for women entrepreneurs.
