Message from the Dean of the graduate school
Interim Dean and Professor of Finance
Dr. Mark Potter
I have been excited about Babson since I joined the faculty in 1995, and it is my pleasure to serve as the interim Graduate School dean. The core of what makes Babson special is our belief that an entrepreneurial mindset can make business and society better, and it is our mission to educate students who will go out and use the power of entrepreneurship for good around the world. Our commitment to Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® has been rewarded with 24 years as the No. 1 graduate school for entrepreneurship in the country, according to
U.S. News & World Report.
Babson offers four unique MBA programs and four custom master’s programs, as well as its Certificate of Advanced Management, which can be earned in as few as 9 credits. With a choice of four campuses spread across the United States in Wellesley, Boston, San Francisco, and Miami, Babson students can customize a graduate school experience that meets many needs and situations. At Babson, academic and hands-on learning collide in countless ways, for example:
Of course, none of this would be possible without Babson’s terrific faculty and staff. Each program is championed by a dedicated faculty director, and it is not uncommon for students and faculty to form close working relationships that extend beyond the classroom. In fact, many professors even serve on the boards of student and alumni businesses.
I am inspired every day by the students at Babson, by the businesses they’re building, the sense of purpose they bring to their work, and by the positive impact they are having in the world. I hope you will share in my excitement as you get to know Babson, too.
Dr. Mark Potter
