Rubén Mancha is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Operations and Information Management Division and faculty director of the Digital Transformation Initiative. In 2017, he was a recipient of the Best 40-Under-40 Business School Professors award by Poets and Quants.

Dr. Mancha's research is in the areas of digital transformation and business responsibility. His research has been published in journals such as MIS Quarterly Executive, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Business Strategy, Information Technology & People, Social Responsibility Journal, Michigan Technology Law Review, Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy, and Communications of the Association of Information Systems. He has also contributed essays to several edited books, such as Contemporary Perspectives in Data Mining II and Encyclopedia of Research Design.

He teaches technology and information management courses at F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business and executive education courses on digital transformation. He also advises digital startups and companies undergoing a digital transformation.

Before completing his doctoral studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr. Mancha held consulting and research positions in the food and biotechnology industries in Spain and the U.S.
