John Hallal

Over the last 20 years, John has advised and counseled numerous middle market companies and entrepreneurs in mergers and acquisitions, ranging from $10MM to $150MM, in industries as diverse as healthcare, telecom, media and internet. He has led deals as a consultant, business operator and attorney. Since 2004, John, through Network Blue, Inc. of Andover, MA, advises companies on mergers and acquisitions, including the preparation of prospectuses, term sheets, and letters of intent, as well as corporate restructuring and negotiations with prospective buyers. Network Blue also advises companies on traditional and alternative financing options. From 2003 to January 2005, John served as Vice President of OrthoRehab, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of continuous passive motion (CPM) devices used to rehabilitate joints after surgeries. The company sold/rented CPM devices and other products in 37 states across the United States. At OrthoRehab, John helped to expand its distribution channel and explored and introduced new product lines to leverage the distribution channel. John led management in its sale of OrthoRehab to Otto Bock Healthcare, L.P. in January 2005. John subsequently co-founded a durable medical equipment supply company, OrthoSupply Management. This company provided a web-based, turnkey system, enabling orthopedic and podiatric practices to dispense an array of durable medical equipment directly to patients during office visits. The system also aided the practitioners with inventory control, insurance verification and billing services. He assisted in raising several million dollars for this start-up, hired the CEO and key employees and launched the company. As an attorney with Acceleration Law Group, John represents entrepreneurs and businesses in corporate formation, financing and hiring. He also serves as outside general counsel to companies assisting them with contract negotiations, employment issues and business disputes. John gained substantial experience in the law with McCarter English from 1991-2003, where he practiced as an associate and then a partner. John is a member of Boston Harbor Angels and active angel investor. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and Boston College Law School. He has served as a panelist for the MIT Enterprise Forum in Cambridge, MassMedic-sponsored meetings and events as well as for several local venture capital groups and associations. John is active with charitable organizations, including Catholic Charities and St. Mary's of the Assumption in Lawrence, MA.
