What is your pre-Babson experience?
I attended Union College and worked as a general manager at New France LLC Hospitality.
Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?
I chose Babson because of way they approach education. They want their students to learn by doing. They challenge the more traditional ways of learning, and encourage their students to get in the weeds and figure it out. Consulting for a company and working in teams was what most folks do when they re-enter the real world and Babson does an excellent job preparing you for this.
As a Babson student, what did you do when not in class?
During my first year, I served as a section rep and worked very closely with both administration and my classmates. During my second year, I was the VP of Student Activities. This allowed me to interface with many of the centers on campus, as well as the clubs.
What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?
By far the people I met—both my classmates and my professors. These are people I still speak with today. I work with some of them. I still go back and meet with my professors. The relationships that I formed were invaluable and the best part of the Babson student experience.
How do you stay connected to Babson?
Since graduation, I have continued to engage with Babson. I have had three MCFE teams work with my group at Fidelity. I have gone back to present to students. I have worked with recruiters to speak on campus. I have also hosted undergrads on job shadow days. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Babson, and am glad that I am able to give back in these small ways.
