Merit Awards for Babson Students

Opportunities for Incoming Students
The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, merit-based award. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who embody Blank’s leadership qualities and the foundational values of the Blank School.
The Weissman Scholarship program provides four-year, full-tuition scholarships plus financial support for scholars to develop their unique talents and pursue their personal passions. Recipients are selected based on demonstrated high academic achievement and strong leadership skills. The award is renewed in future years provided you maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
This scholarship comes with a unique set of benefits, including retreats, tailored study abroad opportunities, and student projects that take you across the country to places like Silicon Valley, SXSW in Austin, Texas, and New York City. You may even meet fellow scholar and Team USA synchronized skater Laura Nicula ’24.

Presidential Scholars receive four-year, half-tuition scholarships, renewable each year with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. This program provides students a plethora of resources to enhance their networking and career goals, provide mentorship opportunities, and grow their leadership skills.

The Diversity Leadership Award is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship awarded to students with the greatest potential for leadership in creating a diverse community. Candidates for the scholarship are evaluated based on the information in their admission and financial aid applications; no additional application is required. Students who are considered have demonstrated leadership in bridging differences and in building inclusive communities across individual and intersecting identities, such as race, ethnicity, religion, social class, nationality, (dis)ability, sexual preference, and gender expression. Recipients of this scholarship can take part in a number of programs in their first year and beyond, including a senior send-off when they graduate:
- Lead Partners: You will be matched with upperclass students who will help you achieve outlined goals and navigate the many opportunities on campus.
- Monthly Meet-Ups: You and fellow award recipients will gather periodically for community building, information sharing, and fellowship.
- Community Building: Social events and outings are scheduled for each semester, as well as professional and personal development opportunities.
- One-on-One Advising: You will have check-ins with advisors to communicate progress and identify resources for success.

The Women’s Leadership Scholarship is a four-year, quarter-tuition merit scholarship offered to undergraduate students who are selected based on their academic achievement and demonstrated leadership in school and community activities. Women’s Leadership Scholars have the opportunity to apply for the Frank & Eileen™ Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (F&E CWEL) Fellowship program, as well as take advantage of F&E CWEL’s vast networking, growth, and mentorship opportunities.

Babson Posse Scholars are recruited each year from a pool of over 3,000 New York City high school students. It covers full tuition for four years at Babson and every year students participate in a retreat for all Posse community members and friends. DECA is a national non-profit (you may recognize the name from an entrepreneurship program in your high school) that, “prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.” The Babson DECA Scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for four years.

Students who have participated in the non-profit Junior Achievement USA are encouraged to apply for admission and financial aid at Babson, and to complete the Babson JA Scholarship application procedures below. You will be considered for the JA Scholarship and other financial aid for which you might qualify. The Babson Junior Achievement Scholarship is valued at $20,000 per year for four years.

Junior Achievement USA offers education on financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship to inspire and prepare young people to succeed.
Students who have participated in Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) should apply for admission and financial aid at Babson, and complete the Babson NFTE Scholarship application procedures below. The Babson NFTE Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship.

- Submit, through your applicant status page, a resume detailing your NFTE accomplishments and experiences.
NFTE is a “global educational nonprofit focused on bringing the power of entrepreneurship to youth in low-income communities.”

I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to be a Presidential Scholar. To me, Babson was like a bridge that connected the scattered dots in my life together during a time when I was the most lost. Applying to college was the first time I have ever lost belief in myself and my direction as I felt conflicted in deciding what the next steps were as a competitive figure skater and as a young adult with a passion for entrepreneurship. When I found Babson, everything naturally came together and the chance to be a Presidential Scholar was like the cherry on top. I am honored and excited to show my best at Babson.
Opportunities for Current Students
There are additional merit-based opportunities for students once they are enrolled and complete a set number of coursework. Students also may seek out scholarships from their community and outside sources to help supplement their financial aid.
Value: Up to $5,000 per year
The Dean’s Scholarship is awarded beginning sophomore year to students who are among the highest GPA earners and who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in campus activities. No separate application is required.
Value: Up to $3,000 per year
The Babson Honors Program Scholarship is awarded to juniors and seniors who are selected for and participate in the Honors Program at Babson. It requires yearly participation in the Honors Program. To apply, qualified students should apply for the Honors Program at Babson in the fall of their second year.
Please note, students who received a Presidential Scholarship or Weissman Scholarship at the point of admission are excluded from consideration for the Honors Program Scholarship.
