Interviews at Babson

Interviews are an excellent opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with an admission counselor or student admission intern so that we can get to know you in person prior to beginning the application review process.

If you choose to interview with us you should be prepared to talk about yourself and your interest in Babson, and bring any questions you would like to discuss. A summary of our conversation with you will become part of your admission file and can be influential in the decision we make.

There is no suggested dress code for the interview, but you should remember that this may be your first and only one-on-one meeting with a member of our admission staff.

While we enjoy getting to know our applicants during the interview process, we realize that not everyone is able to schedule an interview; for this reason, students who choose not to schedule an interview will not be penalized in our admission process. As an alternative to on-campus or alumni interviews, applicants from China have the option to schedule an interview through

We respectfully request that your interview be scheduled prior to your arrival on campus to ensure that we have someone available to meet with you. Interviews can be scheduled by calling the Office of Undergraduate Admission toll-free (within the U.S.) at 800-488-3696 or at 781-239-5522.

First-Year Students

On-campus interviews for students interested in applying to Babson for Fall 2018 are available April 1 through November 3, 2017.

Transfer Students

Interviews are strongly recommended for prospective transfer students. Interviews for students interested in transferring for the Fall Semester (beginning September 2017) will be available through March 15, 2017. Please check back for interview dates for students interested in transferring for the Spring Semester (beginning January 2018).

Alumni Interviews

We are pleased to offer first-year applicants the opportunity to interview with Babson alumni. Alumni interviews can be conducted either in-person or through virtual platforms such as Skype/Facetime/Google Hangout/etc.  In-person interviews will take place on a mutually agreed upon date, time and location with no interview occurring at an alumnus' personal home.  A student applying to Babson can only have one interview with the college, and thus an applicant who has already had an interview with the Undergraduate Admission Office will not be eligible for an alumni interview.  Alumni interviews begin in early November and will be available for candidates for Early Decision, Early Action, and Regular Decision

Please know that while Babson's alumni network is quite extensive, there may be instances where we are not able to accommodate a request for an interview with a Babson alumnus.  Every effort will be made to accommodate as many students as possible.

Alumni interviews have concluded for applicants looking to enroll at Babson for September 2017 enrollment.  For students applying for Fall 2018 enrollment, more information will be available in late August 2017 on how to sign-up for an interview.
