Global Leadership Development Experience

A New Generation of Leadership

May 25- June 20, 2014

The Babson College Global Leadership Development Experience (GLDE) is an intense immersion program where students partner with innovative student entrepreneurs, corporate and nonprofit executives, and world-class faculty while working to create innovative, real-world solutions to social, economic, and environmental issues in a collaborative and challenging environment.

Students will work directly with representatives from the United Nations in consulting projects related to the United Nations efforts surround global education and the Millennium Development Goals.

Classroom sessions provide a lively environment to explore global problems through the lens of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® . This mindset is the conduit to create problem-solving strategies through real-life examples, led by Babson’s top-notch faculty and business leaders. Students gain an in-depth understanding of how to approach solving some of the world’s biggest challenges by examining the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

You will study current trends in attempting to address these issues while learning a framework for how to develop an actionable approach for solving these challenges. You’ll take part in a real-life consulting project for a corporation or nonprofit that directly affects an issue addressed by the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

Weekdays consist of classroom lessons and interactive discussions with peers, company or nonprofit project time in teams, and meetings with industry professionals. During the weekends, you can participate in community service projects and explore Boston through a variety of local events, attractions, and activities.
