Van/ Driver Authorization
Driver authorization is required for members of the Babson Community who need access to the Public Safety vehicles for school related use. Individuals must always present a valid Driver’s License prior to signing out a Babson vehicle.
All driver authorization applicants MUST read and agree to comply with the Vehicle Use Agreement and Regulations. Please read the agreement prior to submitting the following form.
There are 3 steps to the driver authorization process:
- Your agreement to College’s terms, condition, rules and regulations for driving a College owned or rented vehicle and the College’s satisfactory review of your driving history
- Your successful completion of an online driver safety course
- Your successful completion of a vehicle orientation with Public Safety
All Van Orientations will be held at Public Safety on Tuesday's between 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday's between 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. (Please choose one or the other).
All golf cart orientations will be held at Public Safety on Fridays between 8:30-9:30 a.m.
You will complete the form below (front and back) in its entirety, and take to Public Safety along with a copy of your driver’s license. If you have held a driver’s license from more than one state in the past 3 years, you must include information and a copy of all.

The College will pull and review your driving record to be sure it meet’s the insurance company’s and the College’s criteria for a safe driver.
When you have successfully met the safe driver criteria, you will be provided access to the on-line driver safety course. This course will be accessible from any computer 24/7 for the next 30 days.
Upon successful completion of the safety driving course, you and the College will receive notification that you have successfully completed the course. A copy of your completion certificate will be added to your credentialing file and you will be notified by the College that you have completed the second step in the process.
At that point you will be authorized pending completion of a vehicle orientation.
