A Message from our Hindu Chaplian, Vaishali Gupta

 "Greetings:

The Hindus will celebrate ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ on August 29th this year. This Hindu festival is celebrated in honour of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity who is considered to be the remover of obstacles and the God of new beginnings , intelligence and wisdom. It is celebrated over 10 days during which clay sculptures of Ganesha are set up at home and other public places and prayers are offered to him everyday.  After 10 days, these clay sculptures are immersed in water.

Hindus believe that Ganesha dwells in each one of you as your intelligence  and wisdom  and  when you make proper use of your inherent intelligence and wisdom, your life will be without obstacles and you will be happy and successful.

The Office of Faith and Service wishes you a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi, Joyous beginnings and smooth transitions."
