Health Insurance

Students enrolled in nine or more credits are required by Massachusetts law to carry health insurance. The College contracts with University Health Plans to provide coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield. The premium for the 2012–2013 academic year is $1,363. Students who have health insurance coverage through a parent’s plan that can be used in Massachusetts may waive participation in the Babson College Plan. Students with coverage from insurance carriers outside the U.S. and coverage by foreign National Health Service programs may not waive participation.
