Alison Mooradian MBA’19
Graduate Student, Two-Year MBA
What is your pre-Babson experience?
Before starting my MBA, I was the development and communications manager at KIDS for the BAY, an environmental education nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to that role, I was the marketing coordinator at Luminance Skincare, a nontoxic skincare company also located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I earned my undergraduate degree from Vassar College.
Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?
I knew that I wanted to live in Boston after graduation, so I only looked at MBA programs in the Boston area. Not knowing too much initially about MBA programs, Babson immediately made an impression on me because of the students’ passion for not only entrepreneurship but social impact. After learning about all of the socially driven companies that Babson alumni had started, I knew that Babson was the right place for me to continue to grow.
As a Babson student, what do you do when not in class?
I’m a member of the speaker engagement team for the Babson Entrepreneurship Forum, which is the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business's flagship forum. I’m also a Forté Ambassador; this year, the Forté Fellows and the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership are co-developing a pilot mentorship program for undergraduate women to be mentored by MBA women.
What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?
The best part about the Babson experience for me is my classmates! Every day, I learn from and am inspired by my classmates’ diverse cultural and work backgrounds, their perseverance, their sense of humor, and their drive to learn and grow.
