What is your pre-Babson experience?

I previously attended Lehman College. Before coming to Babson, I worked for Kingsbridge Heights Community Center as a teen educational coordinator and youth advocate.

Why did you choose Babson for your graduate education?

The MBA program at Babson resonated with me because of its entrepreneurial focus. I had attempted to start businesses before and wanted a stronger foundation to better navigate future business endeavors. The prospect of enhancing my network and connecting with alumni who had successfully launched businesses was also intriguing. Additionally, I wanted to attend an institution that truly values addressing the world’s challenges through social enterprise. After doing extensive research, I recognized that there was no better program for me.

As a Babson student, what did you do when not in class?

I was a very active student at Babson, especially after the summer session of the One-Year MBA program. Babson afforded me the opportunity to attend numerous conferences including the NBMBAA, Net Impact, and The Ph.D. Project. I was involved in clubs and activities, including Babson Board Fellows, Babson Career Education Team, Graduate Student Council, Net Impact, and Babson Black MBA Club.

What was your favorite part of the Babson student experience?

My favorite part of the Babson experience was being a student liaison representative with the Babson Career Education Team. The opportunity enabled me to help work directly with staff to develop career advising programming that would be integrated with the core curriculum. I was able to see firsthand the level of commitment and flexibility that the team had to devise better ways for incoming students to interact with career counselors more effectively.
