Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance
The Cutler Center was inducted in 2000 with a generous gift from Stephen D. Cutler M'61 and his wife Alice. Thanks to their continued generosity, the Cutler Center is at the forefront of advancing the understanding and practice of investments and finance in our global economy.
Cutler Center Mission
The Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance is dedicated to advancing finance education and improving the marketability of Babson students. The Center provides programs and resources that enrich the student learning experience, support faculty research, and engage our alumni community. The Center is committed to furthering Babson’s innovative and practical approach to finance education and enabling industry practitioners, faculty, and students to collaborate and learn from one another. CFA Institute Research Challenge Winners
Babson's team won the CFA Institute Research Challenge, beating 11 area colleges and universities. As a result, the team traveled to Seattle in April for the Americas competition where they competed against the best teams in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
The competition involves analyzing a local publicly-traded company and then writing a comprehensive research report with a buy, hold, or sell recommendation. The team was comprised of Brittany Bascom MBA'16, Rachel Burstiner '17, and Roy Nakamajeo '17.
Their outstanding performance is a testament to the Babson's practical approach to finance education and the benefits of our experiential learning programs.
“The Cutler Center exemplifies Babson’s real-world approach to education, its commitment to innovative research, state-of-the-art resources, and programs that uniquely prepare students for careers in investments and finance.”
