Babson Men’s Basketball Wins Division III National Championship

Babson defeated Augustana 79-78 to win the team's first national championship

Babson's men's basketball team won its first NCAA Division III National Championship title by defeating Augustana 79-78 on Saturday night. With the victory, Babson finishes its season at 31-2 overall and claims the College's first national championship since men's ice hockey in 1984.

This team is made up of impressive scholar athletes who are leaders both on and off the court, and we are so excited to celebrate this achievement with our entire campus community."

Babson faced Augustana in the Division III national title game on Saturday at 6:07 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia, after a stunning victory over Whitman College in the Final Four. The Beavers rallied from a 25-point deficit to earn a win over top-ranked and previously unbeaten Whitman.
