Advising and Support
The amount of support and mentoring Babson students receive is one of the true hallmarks of the Babson experience.
Academic Services
The Office of Academic Services is the center for the advising and support for Babson's undergraduate students. Academic Services' mission is to provide students and faculty with the resources necessary to thrive in an integrated, competency-based curriculum. Through a balance of challenge and support we strive to develop students who will embrace risk, value differences, and take responsibility for their decisions while on their path toward entrepreneurial leadership. It is with care and consistency that we undertake this mission in partnership with our students and the entire Babson community. The Office of Academic Services assists students with academic and personal development through a variety of programs, including:
- Personal and Academic Advising and Support
- Services for Students with Disabilities
- Outreach Programming
- Honors Program
- Class-based Programming
- Curriculum Support
Dedicated Staff
Students are fully supported from the first day they arrive on campus. All Babson College students are assigned to a class dean.
The class deans provide support and are valuable resources for students in a variety of ways, including:
- Advising and curriculum support
- Adjusting to college and the community
- Career and concentration advice
- Personal development and support
Academic Services is located on the 2nd floor of Hollister Hall, open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please feel free to stop in to see your dean during his/her Spring Spring 2012 Office Hours (pdf) for quick questions. The Office of Academic Services is happy to help you set up an appointment with a staff member for meetings that require more time or for long-term planning. There are also Peer Advisors available during the day to help answer many of your questions.
