The following sessions will be offered concurrently in 45-minute segments:  10:45–11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.  We welcome you to attend any of these breakout sessions.

SESSION ONE – Babson’s Academic Experience
10:45am – 11:30am
These three sessions each provide similar but different perspectives on how Babson’s philosophy of Entrepreneurial Thought & Action plays out in the classroom.

Puzzles and Mazes: Cultivating Entrepreneurial Thought & Action in the Classroom
Babson faculty members will guide students through an exciting, interactive, and informative exercise that will set the stage for your student’s academic experience.  Be prepared to have some fun learning about the importance of creativity, the value of teamwork and effective thinking outside the box. 
 
Creativity and the Academic Experience 
Donna Stoddard, associate professor, TOIM, will guide families through an exciting, interactive, and informative exercise that will set the stage for your student’s academic experience.  Be prepared to have some fun learning about the importance of creativity, the value of teamwork and creativity in solving problems. 

Coaching for Leadership & Teamwork Program (CLTP)
Join Joseph Weintraub, professor of management, as he gives you an overview of Babson’s signature Coaching for Leadership & Teamwork Program (CLTP).

SESSION TWO: Babson’s Extra-Curricular Experience

These three sessions each provide similar but different perspectives on how your student’s experience and access to resources or support outside the classroom.

Supporting your Student’s Health & Safety at Babson
Student well-being and safety are priorities for parents as well as the College. Please join Ryan Travia, associate dean, wellness, Jim Pollard, director of public safety/chief of police, Colleen Ryan, assistant dean, community standards, Jan Holton, director of counseling services and Sharon Yardley, director of health services, for a panel discussion to learn more about community expectations, programs and services available to support your student’s development.

Global, Multicultural and Spiritual Perspectives at Babson 
Join staff from the Glavin Office of Multicultural and International Education and the Office of Faith and Service in an interactive session that illustrates how Babson promotes global, multicultural, and spiritual perspectives on campus. Learn about the opportunities available to students and the strengths of Babson’s diverse and multicultural community.

Student Wellness Programs at Babson
Babson encourages its students to maintain a healthy lifestyle and we offer a wide variety of wellness programs to help them do just that.  Join Andy Dutton, assistant director, athletic facilities/recreation, Miranda Nordell, health educator, and Rachel Oppenheimer, registered dietician, Sodexo, to learn more about our recreation facilities, wellness programs and options for eating smart on-campus.
