The Boys Soccer Camp has grown steadily for more than 40 years to become one of the finest instructional day camps in New England for all levels and ages. We offer a boys camp that delivers diversified training, incorporating both traditional and contemporary techniques in soccer instruction to meet the needs of each camper, from beginner to advanced. Our staff features quality Boston-area instructors, who come from the professional, college, club, and high school ranks, and are proven in their ability to teach, motivate, and communicate with youth players.
Our goal is to ensure that every camper has an enjoyable, positive experience that stresses fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. All are encouraged to make friends and to be the best player and teammate they can be. We believe soccer is a great game for all ages and abilities. We strive to improve skills, soccer knowledge, confidence, and passion for the game in all players. The camp program is designed to build great soccer habits so that the players will continue their skill development at home.
Junior Camp: Ages 7-13
Junior camp activities emphasize learning and improving a strong foundation of soccer skills for the beginner to advanced player. The junior camp is perfect for campers who want to advance their soccer skills and enjoyment of the game. Our goal is for all campers to have a fun, productive week of soccer that will enhance both their skills and passion for the game.
- Ball mastery and control
- Offensive and defensive positional play

- Technical and tactical training
- Small sided training that maximizes touches on the ball
- Enjoy soccer while learning about the game in a positive environment
- Ball on their feet all day
Senior Camp: Ages 13-17
The senior camp is designed for the club or high school player who desires in-depth tactical and technical training. This section combines advanced training with a fun and enjoyable experience. Our staff is hired for their passion for the game along with their ability to teach. They can adjust to teach players of every ability and make sure all have a productive and enjoyable week. The Senior Camp challenges the competitive player to advance his skills and will stress the following:
- Specialized individual skill enhancement from fast footwork specialists
- The art of finishing: accuracy, power, and execution
- Team tactics: 6x6, 11x11, build up, transition, field vision, and defense
- Building self-confidence, passion for the sport, and a positive attitude
- Pre-season preparation for high school players
Specialized Goalkeeping Instruction
Individual goalkeeping training sessions, supervised by our experienced staff, cover all aspects of the technical and tactical skills necessary for developing goalkeepers. The program is customized for each goalie’s needs. If you are attending camp as a goalie, please check the appropriate space on the application.
Jon Anderson, Camp Director
Head Soccer Coach, Babson College
Jon Anderson is in his 29th year as director of the Babson Soccer Camp. As the Babson head men’s soccer coach and a member of the Babson Athletics Hall of Fame, he has guided his teams to 25 winning seasons and 19 postseason appearances. The Beavers have enjoyed unparalleled success with Anderson, posting a 341-153-62 (.669) record in 28 years and a New England Division III ranking in all but three seasons. Anderson has been honored as league Coach of the Year nine times and has been named the NSCAA New England Coach of the Year three times. A 1975 graduate of Babson, Anderson was a three-year starter at center midfield, playing on teams that went 56-5-4 and earned three NCAA Tournament berths, including the school’s first national championship in 1975. Following graduation, Anderson was a teacher/coach in Weymouth and Cohasset, before taking over as Babson’s soccer coach in 1986.
