Meet the Peers On Wellness
Michelle Buslov '20
Michelle is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives in the Woman Giving Back tower in Van Winkle. Michelle chose Babson because she thinks business knowledge can be applied to all kinds of different fields that she is passionate about, especially wellness. Michelle is particularly interested in stress management and self-care, as well as bystander intervention. This year, along with being a POW, Michelle will be a sustainability intern, the VP of Finance for Habitat for Humanity and a research assistant in the Blank Center. In her spare time, she likes trying new restaurants, spending time with her family and friends, and online shopping. Michelle is looking forward to being a resource on campus for anyone who needs it and becoming more involved in the Babson community.
Marion Christensen '18
Marion is a first-year POW and a Senior at Babson. She grew up on the beach in Capitola, CA bodysurfing and swimming. She transferred from the University of Vermont to further her ambitions to own a sustainable hotel. She loves cooking, hiking, and cooking. As a POW, Marion is interested in assisting students with mental health resources and sexual assault prevention services. In addition to that, she leads outdoor adventures with the Babson Outdoors Association and promotes Sustainability as a Sustainability Office Intern. At Babson this year, Marion hopes to meet more people and ski.
My-Linh DeBonis '19
My-Linh DeBonis is a second-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Mandell Family Hall with three other suitemates. My-Linh chose Babson because she was attracted to the hands on learning style that Babson provides as well as the unique Foundation of Management and Entrepreneurship course that is not seen anywhere else. In addition, she was drawn to the location of Babson as it is only 15 minutes from where she lives. My-Linh is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, My-Linh is interested in being a resource to others and ensuring a safe and healthy campus environment. In addition to serving as a POW, My-Linh is a senator in the Student Government Association and the co-president of Alliance for Sexual Assault Prevention and Babson Accounting Club on campus. In her spare time, she enjoy hanging with friends, taking night walks, working out, and watching mukbang. This year, My-Linh is looking forward to spending time with her POWs in the fall and studying abroad in Rome, Italy in the spring.
Kelsey Erstein '20
Kelsey is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Bryant Hall. Kelsey chose Babson because of its focus on empowering women leaders through their Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, stress management, mindfulness, meditation, and positive self-image. In addition to being a POW, she is also involved in Sigma Kappa. In her spare time, she likes to read, watch movies, and practice yoga.
Sean Harrington '20
This is Sean's first year as a POW. Sean chose Babson because he wanted to attend a small business school outside of Boston. Babson hit all of these marks while allowing him to stay close to home. Sean is passionate about health and wellness because he feels that everyone can benefit from learning about its different aspects. He have also seen the effects of practicing good health and wellness first hand. Sean is a member of the varsity Baseball team at Babson. In his spare time he likes to play sports, play video games, and hang out with friends.
Lizbeth Ledesma '20
Lizbeth Ledesma is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in Park Manor Central. Lizbeth chose Babson because of the unique curriculum that prepares you for business in all kinds of fields. Lizbeth is passionate about wellness especially nutrition and mental wellness. She is interested in being a resource and safe space for others. Lizbeth is also a Peer Mentor on campus and serves as the Vice President of Programming for Sigma Kappa. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, watching movies with friends, journaling and watching Netflix. Lizbeth is excited to be part of the POW community!
Nick Lorello '20
Nick is in his first year as a POW. He lives in Coleman Hall with his best friend at Babson. He chose Babson because of his interest in business and going to a smaller school. The info session explaining FME was what sold the school for him. Nick is interested in health and wellness because he knows how important it is so live a healthy lifestyle in college and beyond. He also sees the need for sexual harassment awareness in a business setting. Nick plays on the club baseball team and works on a small business with his friend at Babson. In his free time, he likes to stay active and share laughs with friends.
Anna Nardi '19
Anna is a first year Peer on Wellness. She is a Junior here at Babson College and lives in the Sigma Kappa Tower on campus. Anna chose Babson because of its diverse environment and amazing opportunities. She is currently concentrating in Finance and Economics. Anna is the ritual chairman for Sigma Kappa, VP of Records for the Panhellenic Association here on campus, and a Junior class Senator for SGA. She joined POW to promote wellness on campus, especially mental health. This year, Anna is excited to be a resource on campus and participate in the MCFE program. In her free time, Anna loves to spend time with her friends, write, and travel.
Olivia Phelan '20
Olivia is a first year Peer on Wellness and a sophomore. Olivia is an RA in Putney Hall and is a member of the varsity Women’s Lacrosse team. Olivia chose Babson because she loved the intense and forward-thinking students and hands-on business curriculum. Olivia is passionate about wellness and living healthier mentally and physically. As a POW, Olivia looks forward to being a resource for others and helping to ensure that Babson is a safe, welcoming place for all. In her spare time, Olivia likes to be outside or to hang out with friends and her two sisters.
Jodee Sakamaki '20
Jodee is a first year Peer on Wellness from the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. She is interested in helping others with health and wellness, and is excited to be a safe resource to her peers. Jodee chose Babson to further her education because she was attracted to the unique learning opportunities Babson provides in order to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in all students. In her free time, Jodee enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, dancing, and watching Netflix. Along with serving as a POW, Jodee is involved in Chi Omega and is a part of the Panhellenic council. Jodee is looking forward to her sophomore year at Babson, and meeting new people.
Angan Sarker '21
Angan is a second-year Peer on Wellness. He lives on campus in Van Winkle Hall. Angan chose Babson because he believes the entrepreneurial environment at Babson will help him innovate in new interesting ways. He is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Angan is interested in diversity and inclusion. In addition to serving as a POW, Angan is also a member of Babson CODE and a Scout at Weissman Foundry on campus. In his spare time, he enjoys reading about astrophysics and listening to music. This year, Angan is looking forward to learn more about Deep Learning and Machine Learning!
Disha Sethi '20
Disha is a first year Peers on Wellness. She lives on campus in the Women Giving Back Tower in Van Winkle. Disha chose Babson because it provides with the opportunity to learn in an interactive and proactive manner. She feels that it is important that we consciously make an effort to focus on our health and those around us. She is particularly passionate about mental health and healthy eating. On campus, she is the Vice President for Finance for the Consulting club and works at the CLTP office. Disha likes reading, writing poetry, travelling, and photography.
Malvika Sheth '20
Malvika is a sophomore starting her first year as a Peer on Wellness. She chose Babson particularly because in addition to having a variety of interests, including the arts, fashion, health, and food, she knew she was going to start her own business one day. She hopes to merge one or several of these passions with her business education through her journey at Babson. Malvika first encountered the POWs at New Student Orientation, where she began to look up to them as role models in health and wellness. From then on, she made it her goal to be a part of this inspiring team. Malvika is also in AMAN, works as a BabsonARTS Marketing Assistant, and is a part of Babson Fashion Group. In her spare time, she loves to dance, read about fashion and travel, cook, and watch classic movies.
Valentina Tiffany '20
Tiffany is a first-year Peer on Wellness. Tiffany chose Babson because of its reputation for cultivating entrepreneurship and hands-on education. She is also passionate about health and wellness. Specifically, Tiffany is interested in living a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a balanced diet, and stress management. Tiffany is also involved in Habitat for Humanity, College Advancement Ambassador, and the archery club. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, learning a new language, and watching puppy videos. Tiffany is looking forward to expanding her network and taking better care of herself.
Julia Taormina '20
Julia is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus in the Sigma Kappa tower with 14 of her friends. Julia was drawn to Babson for the hands-on classes, amazing professors, and all the opportunities through clubs, organizations, and peers. She is passionate about health and wellness and is excited to take on this position to learn more about how to be a resource to others during her time at Babson and beyond. Along with being a POW, Julia is a part of ONE, the Vice President of New Member Education for her sorority, a passionate Tour Guide, and takes part in intramural sports. As for her spare time, she enjoys hanging with family and friends, her dog, going to the beach, and traveling to new places. Julia looks forward to this new year of opportunities to grow, make friends in this new community, and overall learn how to be a resource for her campus.
Ella Wahlestedt '21
Ella is a first-year Peer on Wellness. She lives on campus at eTower in Van Winkle. Ella chose Babson because she wanted to develop an entrepreneurial-minded approach to her future endeavors. Ella is also passionate about health and wellness, specifically mental health. In addition to serving as a POW, Ella is also a Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) scholar and the web developer for eTower, Babson’s leading student-run entrepreneurship living community. In Ella’s spare time, she enjoys reading, watching films, and listening to podcasts about human psychology and behavior. This year, Ella is looking forward to being a member of the Publications team and contributing to the Stall Street Journal.
Emily Woodward '20
Emily Woodward is a sophomore at Babson College. She grew up in Deerfield, MA with her sister, two parents, and dogs. Emily came to Babson because she loved the academics, community, opportunity, and volleyball. Now, she is happy to say she is here for POW as well! Emily loves spending her free time with friends and family, playing volleyball/the gym, hiking, and more. She is passionate about wellness because it is extremely important to take care of the body, mind, and soul in order to be happy. This year Emily is excited to serve as a POW on campus, challenge herself academically, be with friends, and win a volleyball championship!
