Elective Curriculum

Babson’s MBA elective curriculum provides an excellent opportunity for students to build on the foundational knowledge learned during required core curriculum classes and to align educational goals with post-graduation plans. Under the new curriculum, the opportunity to begin electives earlier in the program allows students to hone in on career requirements, helping them to select and land the most optimal internship opportunities.  Further, should a student choose to focus their electives in a particular area, a concentration can be selected.

During this portion of the degree, students are given free rein to choose from an impressive range of traditional and non-traditional courses and experiences.

Traditional Electives

Electives seamlessly integrate cross-program networking among students, as these classes are offered at times that are convenient for all programs.

Electives by department (including current and previous semesters), are located on the Registrar’s website.

Non-Traditional Electives

A non-traditional elective invites students to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom through team-based projects, study abroad programs and research to apply their understanding of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action.
