John Morgan joined the Babson faculty as an adjunct lecturer in 2022. John has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry. Today he is a partner, portfolio manager and strategic advisor to start-up companies at Morgan Capital Family Office, LLC. He runs a balanced equity portfolio, invests in real estate and multiple start-up companies and is a lecturer on global investing at The Johnson Business School at Cornell University.
John began his career at Putnam Investments in institutional sales and marketing where he worked for seven years and became a Vice President before he left for business school at Cornell University. After he graduated, he returned to Putnam and became a global equity analyst covering the industrials, energy and materials sectors and spent over 10 years working on U.S. and international investment teams, eventually becoming the lead portfolio manager for the Putnam Global Resources fund. In 2012, John was hired by Epoch Investment Partners as a co-portfolio manager and senior equity analyst covering the industrials, consumer, healthcare and technology sectors for the International and Global Small Cap Funds. He became the lead portfolio manager and the Chief Investment Officer in 2017. In 2020, John joined Corbin Advisors a corporate strategy and investor relations firm as Senior Vice President and head of Corbin's Advisory Business, overseeing all retainer clients and managing a team of corporate strategy and investor relations specialists.
John holds a BA from Denison University, an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR.
