Empowering Entrepreneurial Leaders
The Frank & Eileen™ Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (F&E CWEL) provides a number of opportunities to become involved in it's award-winning programs, exclusive events, and mentor programs, which impact a diverse set of stakeholders from around the world.
Coaching & Mentorship
Consistent evidence demonstrates the importance of mentors to entrepreneurial success. Mentors provide coaching, guidance, and can even be champions for those looking to take their businesses and careers to the next level. F&E CWEL provides a number of opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, alumnae, and women entrepreneurs in Boston and Miami to work one-on-one with coaches and mentors who are looking to provide insight and guidance to emerging leaders.
Underpinned by Babson’s leading research on mentoring and entrepreneurial leadership development, F&E CWEL offers three one-on-one mentorship programs delivered at critical points in our student’s tenure at Babson.
- F&E CWEL Scholars Near-Peer Mentor Program
Pairs first-year F&E CWEL Scholars with sophomore F&E CWEL Scholars for peer mentoring.
- F&E CWEL Undergraduate Mentor Program
Pairs undergraduate juniors and seniors with professional women who have 3–15 years of work experience.
- F&E CWEL Graduate Mentor Program
Pairs graduate students with senior-leaders or professionals who have 15+ years of work experience.
Each mentoring program takes place over the course of five months. We suggest that pairs meet monthly (virtually or in-person) over the duration of the program. The experience is launched with a speed-networking matching session, to facilitate compatibility-based pairings, and closes in April with a celebratory reception. Learn more here.
It is no surprise that women do not have the same networks as men to help drive their success as entrepreneurs. In fact, multiple studies have shown that the unequal access to information, networks, finance, and venture capital represent the “key barriers that prevent women entrepreneurs from developing and growing their businesses on par with their male counterparts.” Through F&E CWEL's WIN Lab, a venture accelerator designed for women entrepreneurs, each participant is paired with a coach who has been there and done that. Coaches are asked to provide guidance and accountability, serve as sounding-boards to help entrepreneurs find their own answers, and be their confidante as they mature as entrepreneurs.

Become a Speaker
Speakers are invaluable to our students as they provide real-world perspectives and expertise on a wide range of topics and career paths. Speaking engagements exist in the classroom, through our venture accelerators in Boston and Miami, and through panel discussions hosted on the Wellesley, Boston, and Miami campuses.
Depending on your interest and experience, we can help identify opportunities for you to engage as a speaker through one of our many programs and events. Interested in learning more? Email F&E CWEL.
Expert Office Hours
Experts have the opportunity to work with multiple entrepreneurs by providing one-on-one feedback through or office hour offerings. Experts typically take on a consultant role, listening to the challenges of the entrepreneurs in our Women Innovating Now (WIN) Lab accelerator and offering advice on a path forward based on their deep expertise in a certain area. Office hour experts work with the Directors of our Boston and Miami WIN Lab accelerator program to find time a time that works for the expert and the entrepreneurs.
