Corbett is an accomplished communications professional with over 25 years of experience in editorial leadership and content creation. In November 2023, she was appointed as the Editorial Director of Black Health Matters (BHM), a leading provider of digital health and wellness solutions for African American communities. Throughout her career, Corbett has held significant roles, including Beauty Director at ESSENCE Communications, Executive Editor at Real Simple Magazine, and Editor-in-Chief at Heart & Soul Magazine. She also co-hosts "The Visible Women Podcast," focusing on empowering women of color. Her extensive experience and dedication to health communication continue to influence and enlighten women of color at every life stage. This session will be moderated by:Professor Elizabeth Swanson, Professor of African American literature and culture, international literature, and human rights.Elizabeth s a scholar with a deep focus on African American literature, examining the intersections of identity, culture, and historical narratives.
