April 26, 2018 – The USA Branch of the International Fiscal Association presents the New England Spring Seminar: IP Ownership Structures / Irish Structures at Babson College. Babson College’s Norm Richter and Chandler McKinley were Chair and Secretary of the first panel which offered insights from the life sciences industry on intellectual property ownership structures after the 2017 tax reform, respectively. Norm Richter teaches courses in Strategic Business and Tax Planning, Tax Policy and Income Taxation. Chandler McKinley is a Babson MSA candidate who will continue to work as a tax associate in PricewaterhouseCooper's Global Mobility Services after graduation.
February 21, 2018 – IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) will be acknowledging Babson as the first member of the IMA Higher Education Endorsement program in New England. The IMA annual meeting will feature Mike Ruff speaking on “Behavioral Accounting” with attendance by Babson Accounting Professor and IMA Chair CMA Board of Regents, Paul Juras, and Undergraduate Dean of Babson, Ian Lapp.
February 7, 2018 – David Friedman (General Counsel for the Boston Red Sox) will be presenting a talk on “Sports, Law and Leadership”
